This Mini adventure was born from our own delight of stumbling across these fantastic gems of the Peaks.

Running late and taking a shortcut home, our sat nav took us through Castleton and we were instantly wow’d!. It is exactly the kind of village you picture when you think of the Peak’s. Packed with friendly businesses and places to eat it really is a must see place.

Around the corner is the David Mellor Design Museum and Country Shop in Hathersage.
Never heard of David Mellor? Nor had we but wow what a place! Not only is he widely known as the ‘Cutlery King’, but he is also designed the traffic light that we all know today!

See his work and museum in Hathersage or graze in his cafe before heading back up the Famous Winnats Pass haeding back over the outstandingly beautiful Darbyshire dales and into the Staffordshire Moorlands with breathtaking views.

The rollercoaster of a drive takes you through Buxton which is England’s highest market town boasting over 1 million visitors every year and home to St Ann Well.
